Milton Transit has partnered with app developer Magnusmode to help residents with cognitive special needs.
The two are bringing the app MagnusCards to Milton.
The app uses digital guides (called Card Decks), as well as game elements, to help people with cognitive special needs or autism access their communities with greater independence.
Manager of Transit for the Town of Milton, Tony D’Alessandro, explains why Milton Transit decided MagnusCards were right for Milton.
D’Alessandro adds that Milton Transit saw their peers in Oakville Transit and the Milton Public Library benefit from using MagnusCards.
He says that assured them that Magnusmode was a good group to partner with.
It only took a few months to get the app fitted for Milton Transit.
Milton Transit’s new MagnusCards app became available on August 1st.
