
Halton Police are investigating a sexual assault that took place on Canada Day evening.
One female was leaving a local restaurant and had accepted a ride from a male, and was sexually assaulted before arriving at her home.
After an investigation, police have confirmed that the victim was at a Shell gas station located at Walkers Line and Mainway between 11:50 pm and 11:55 pm on July 1.
Police are asking the public for assistance in identifying a female witness and a blue four-door vehicle, believed to be a Mazda.
The witness and vehicle were also at the Shell station at that time.
Police believe the witness may be able to assist police in the investigation.
