The Province of Ontario has announced that there will be a new high school in Milton.
The announcement came on Friday afternoon and it’s apart of the provinces capital investment program.
Milton MPP Parm Gill says that this shows the commitment the province has to education.
The new Milton High School will be apart of the Halton District School Board.
MPP Gill also says it’s not surprising that this was approved because of Milton’s growth.
MPP Gill says that this isn’t the last announcement for Milton when it comes to education.
The new high school will accommodate over 1200 students and is expected to open for the 2020/21 school year.
The school will be at 1410 Bronte Street South, Milton. Located on the west side of Bronte Street, between Louis St. Laurent Boulevard and Britannia Road.
