Residents in Ward Two along Wilson Drive will now have a quieter time along there roads.
Halton Regional Council approved a motion on Wednesday for installation of a new noise wall.
The wall will be built along Steeles Avenue East (Regional Road 8) from Wilson Drive to 324 meters east of Wilson Drive.
The total cost of the project is just over $1 million, and that includes an increase in the budget of $458,000.
The reason for the increase of the cost according to staff may be attributed to the season of the tender, contractor availability and a short construction window.
Construction is expected to begin in August and be completed in Spring of 2020.
