At Halton’s most recent Regional Council meeting, Halton Paramedic provided their annual update.
Part of the update had shown an increase in calls.
Chief of Paramedics, Greg Sage, says that’s just a matter of population growth.
Sage, says they’ve looked into updating the call centre they use, and adds that some work has been made to improve 9-1-1 call times.
He says the province is working on it, but there have been delays in the process.
Fortunately, everything from the report suggests that Halton Paramedics are meeting their goals.
The report briefly covered two new Milton projects that are currently under construction.
One new station will be going up on Fifth Line, just south of Derry Road.
Another will be in-joint with the Milton Fire Department on Louis St. Laurent.
Chief of Paramedics, Greg Sage, says the new stations will help improve local service.
Fortunately, everything from the Halton Paramedic Report suggests they are still meeting their goals with response times and service levels.
