The Region of Halton has updated its Strategic Business Plan.
In a report expected to be given to Regional Council on Wednesday, there is a list of objectives that the region is planning on achieving during its four-year term.
Halton Council participated in a workshop in February, a consultation process in March, and in April and May they included in-person meetings and an online survey to actively engage Halton’s residents and stakeholders
In total there was five themes, 21 objectives, 69 outcomes, and 102 actions and has been developed to deliver Regional Council’s strategic priorities.
The five themes include; Planning and Growth Management, Transportation and Infrastructure, Community Well-Being, Environmental Sustainability, and Climate Change and Effective Government.
However, within the staff report, there was some concern that some objectives may need to be adjusted.
The reasoning is there is uncertainty when it comes to funding from the provincial government.
The report suggests that the council adjust the objectives when more information becomes available.
