
Summer is here and that includes the thirty-degree weather.
With that, Halton Police are reminding residents of the dangers of leaving their babies and dogs in cars.
Constable Ryan Anderson talks to the effects of these scenarios.
Constable Anderson adds that drivers and people could face many different penalties, including criminal code charges.
He says that if you see a child or dog locked in a hot car, call 9-1-1 immediately.
Even on a relatively mild day, temperatures in parked cars can become dangerous in a matter of minutes. Opening or lowering the windows does little or nothing to slow this process.
