At the town council meeting last week, Milton Transit presented Milton Town Council with their 2019-2023 service review and master plan update.
Many ideas to increase ridership were presented, including a recommendation to temporarily suspend routes 9 and 10 in order to implement a home to hub service.
A representative with Milton Transit’s partner in producing the plan and presenter, Tim Rosenberger, outlines how it would be set up.
He says that they will be putting out a number of buses in order to serve the home to hub service.
Town Councillor for Ward 4 Sameera Ali asked the representative of WSP and presenter, Tim Rosenberger if he took into consideration the growth of the neighbourhoods affected by these routes when making this plan.
He says they and believes that even if they were to take it away for a year, it would still be worth doing.
But couldn’t give an exact number of how many buses.
She outlines more of her concerns.
Councillor Ali doesn’t know how they are going to keep the ridership if they discover they need to re-implement routes 9 and 10.
