Does your child want to get more involved with local baseball?
‘Baseball Milton’ has created a new value-added program for their house-league players.
Their ‘House League Player Development Program’ runs from January to April 2018 and it’s designed for players aged 7 to 14.
Registration is a $1 donation to the ‘Darling Home for Kids.’
President of Baseball Milton, Lloyd Sison, says the idea of the development program is to provide training in the off-season.
Sison adds the kids will practice the basics of baseball – throwing, catching, hitting and running – appropriate to their age level.
Another aspect of the program is their ‘Coaching Development Series,’ where they offer three free coaching sessions to their local coaches.
In the clinic, the coaches learn how to instruct the players, how to run effective and progressive practices and how to maximize results with specific drills.
In the future, organizers would like to expand the program, offering training for tee-ball players as young as 4 and 5 years old.
The hope is that this program will also grow Baseball Milton’s rep and select programs, as the players further develop their skills.
To register for the ‘House League Player Development Program,’ the player must already be registered for a ‘Baseball Milton’ regular season house-league program.
